Message for KEK non-Japanese users.
1.The number of infected people are on the rise in Japan. However, no cases have been confirmed infected people in
Ibaraki prefecture. Actually, there is not infected KEK staff and KEK user on KEK Tsukuba campus and on Tokai campus.
2.The Japanese government made the announcement on March 5th. Visitors arriving from mainland China, Hong Kong,
Macao and South Korea after on March 9th, 00:00 (JST) will have to stay at designated facilities for 14 days to make
sure they are not infected with the coronavirus.
3.At present, KEK Tsukuba and Tokai do not have entrance restrictions. However, we will make contact with users who
visit to KEK from countries and regions (*) where categories level 2 or higher of travel warning which Japan Ministry
of Foreign Affairs announced.
* Countries and regions of categories level 2 or higher. (2020.3.6);
China (Including Hong Kong and Macau) , South korea, Iran, 3 states of Northern Italy (Lombardy, Veneto,
Emilia-Romagna)
4.Please let the Tsukuba Campus Users Office or J-PARC Center Users Office know that the KEK users who have
difficulty returning to the home country.
