Inflation Theory
Inflation is the hypothesis that the very early universe experienced an exponential expansion from 10 to the -44th power seconds to 10 to the -33rd power seconds after the beginning of time, becoming a big fire ball—-the Big Bang. Also known as inflationary cosmology.

Inflation was postulated by several cosmologists separately in early 1980s, including Katsuhiko Sato, but it was Alan Guth in 1981 who motivated the inflationary cosmology by solving several problems associated with the initial conditions of the Big Bang cosmology. Also the predictions made in the inflationary cosmology are verified thoroughly by the space survey missions such as WMAP, and the distribution of galaxies by the Galaxy Survey observations. Guth introduced the term ‘inflation’ from the price inflation experienced in the U.S. in the late 70s.
