Report J-PARC hadron physics 2024 (J-PARC Hadron 2024)
We held the international workshop “J-PARC Hadron 2024” at AYA’s Quantum Beam Research Center (Tokai, Ibaraki) on July 23-25. In this series of workshops, we discuss hadron physics which was/is/will be investigated at J-PARC. This time, we focused on Strangeness nuclear physics and Hadron physics with strangeness, on which J-PARC has been reporting lots of important results. Additionally, the workshop covered extensively various related topics (Neutron star, Femtoscopy, Lattice QCD, Exotic hadrons, Nuclear many-body theories).
In the workshop, most of talks were given by invited speakers who are actively studying in each field. By their well-organized talks, we understood the recent status of main experimental facilities in the world including J-PARC and their latest results. We could also learn about details of theoretical approaches such as Chiral EFT, which are now commonly used in this field. Especially, both theorists and experimentalists were stimulated by talks on “Femtoscopy” studies which have recently provided us with significant results on hadron-hadron interactions.
Foreign participants were from Europe and US in addition to Asian area. During long-time coffee breaks, we enjoyed sufficiently discussion and communication with each other across national boundaries. We expect that these discussions will spark various new ideas and worldwide collaborations. It is noted that many young researchers participated in this workshop. They will surely realize further development of strange nuclear and hadron physics.
