Program for promoting the enhancement of research universities
KEK was selected for “the Program for Promoting the Enhancement of Research Universities " by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in 2013. The aim of the program is to acquire human resources of research management (including URA: University Research Administrators) and to facilitate reforms of research environments.

Research Administration Department
The Research Administration Department has been organized and established under the management of the director general and the executive director, and has a central role in the program. Our main missions are to improve environment for our activities, promote the enhancement of research capabilities, and provide support to research projects in cooperation with other involved departments at KEK.
Other missions are as follows:
●Assist in promoting the enhancement of globalization of research and technological innovations at KEK.
●Assist in promoting research environment and enhancing research support system.
●Assist in promoting international projects, advanced technology development and joint-usage research projects.
●Assist in designing a framework of Multi-corporation Partnership Laboratory and Multi-national Partnership Laboratory.
●Assist and provide support to young researchers and female researchers.
