The 37th Workshop on "Radiation Detectors and Their Uses" was held

The 37th Workshop on "Radiation Detectors and Their Uses" was held on January 25,26 and 27, 2023, co-sponsored by the Radiation Science Center and the Japan Society of Applied Physics Ionization Radiation Division.
The workshop was held in a hybrid format of on-site and online events, with more than 100 participants from domestic universities, research institutes, companies, etc. It was the first time in about three years that the event was held in a face-to-face format. There were 44 presentations, including an invited lecture and 18 poster presentations, on a wide range of themes related to radiation measurement technology and detector development.
The poster session was held using a communication tool called “Gather.town”. The participants got experiences which were similar to the actual poster sessions and had lively discussions with this well-received online tool. Mr. Yu Fujiwara of Osaka University and Ms. Natsumi Yagi of National Defense Academy were selected as excellent poster presentations, and received the Workshop Encouragement Award.
