Symposium on Technology in Laboratories at National Institute for Fusion Science
Technical staff of the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at KEK participated in and presented at the “Symposium on Technology in Laboratories at the National Institute for Fusion Science,” held on March 5-6 at the Tajimi Industry & Culture Center in Gifu Prefecture.
Contribution to the development of 3D cavity resonators by cavity fabrication technology
In the KEK press release titled “Discovery of a Method to Improve Quantum Device Performance by the Application of Accelerator Technology,” Assistant Technical Staff, Hitoshi Inoue, who has been involved in the fabrication of superconducting accelerator cavities, contributed to the development of three-dimensional cavity resonators through chemical polishing and heat treatment processes.

Development of a 1m-Class Sized Robot for Monitoring Radiation Levels in Synchrotron Tunnel
To enable safe and efficient operation of synchrotron facilities, we have developed a 1 m-class medium-sized robot (RAT-L1) capable of monitoring radiation levels inside the accelerator tunnel during operation.
