Contribution to the development of 3D cavity resonators by cavity fabrication technology

In the KEK press release titled “Discovery of a Method to Improve Quantum Device Performance by the Application of Accelerator Technology,” Assistant Technical Staff, Hitoshi Inoue (MEC, iCASA), who has been involved in the fabrication of superconducting accelerator cavities, contributed to the development of three-dimensional cavity resonators through chemical polishing and heat treatment processes. MEC operates the CFF (Cavity Fabrication Facility) in collaboration with iCASA for the fabrication of superconducting accelerator cavities.
