KEK Yukari-no-kai - Announcement of the Launch of the KEK Alumni Association
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of KEK, we have
formed a KEK alumni association called the “KEK Yukari-no-kai” in order to create a new network of people who are related to KEK so that we can
collaborate and contribute to the development of research and human resources not only at KEK, but also in the field of high energy accelerators.
It is open not only to current and former employees of KEK, but also to those who have been involved in KEK’s education, research, and social contribution activities, including those who have conducted research or used KEK facilities, students who have received instruction at KEK, and students who have participated in KEK human resource development events.

[Notice] Call for Companies to Display Posters at the Anniversary Ceremony and Symposium
The year 2021 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK).
A commemorative ceremony will be held on Monday, November 8, 2021 at Hitotsubashi Hall, and the symposium will be held on Tuesday, November 9 and Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at the Tsukuba International Congress Center. Depending on the future situation, we will also consider holding the symposium using online and other methods.
We are planning to hold a photo exhibition of the history of KEK during the ceremony and a poster session to exhibit research activities at the symposium. The details will be announced on this website in the next year.

The ceremony will be held on the afternoon of Monday, November 8, 2021 (tentative) at Hitotsubashi Hall.
Invitations
People from politics, government, and academia (including overseas) who have been involved with KEK at any time since its establishment will be invited.
Poster Exhibition
The ceremony is scheduled to last for about two hours, and participants will be able to view the posters before and after the ceremony. Therefore, we do not plan to have a booth or people on hand to provide explanations. Posters will be displayed at a cost of 50,000 yen per unit.

Poster Exhibition
A poster session (about 1.5 hours) will be held on the first day. Posters (with desks) will be displayed for a cost of 100,000 yen per unit.
※We are considering a discount for those who participate in poster sessions at both the ceremony and the symposium.
The names of those presenting posters will be displayed in the end roll of the KEK 50th anniversary video.
In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of KEK, we are producing a commemorative video that summarizes the 50 years of KEK's history as a world-leading center for accelerator science research. We are looking for corporations and organizations that agree with our mission to pass on Japan's world-class accelerator science research organization to the next generation to become our supporters and to work together with us to create the future. 50th Anniversary Project PR Signboard Installed at KEK Tokai Campus
As on the Tsukuba Campus, we posted a banner on the north side of the Tokai Campus Building 1 and a banner at the west entrance. The banners are displayed to let the local community know about KEK.

The PR signboard for the KEK 50th anniversary project has been installed
We have set up PR signs at three locations along Higashi-odori at the KEK Tsukuba Campus.
The KEK 50th anniversary logo has been decided upon.
Along with the catchphrase, "Keep Accelerating”, the "0" in the number 50 represents the ring of an accelerator and the yellow circle represents the light from the collision of electrons and positrons as well as the glittering future.
