#208. Regarding annual renewal of Wireless LAN (MA cluster)
(April 18, 2018)
Tsukuba campus KEK Computing Research Center operates wireless LAN system which is available in
some areas in Tsukuba campus by MA cluster. It is valid until March 31 of the current fiscal year.
Every new Fiscal Year, it is necessary to apply MAC address for use of the LAN. (The Fiscal Year 2018
has started on Apr. 1, 2018 and will end on Mar.31, 2019)
Due to our system Maintenance, the mac addresses which haven't been renewed for use of the
wireless LAN for FY2018, will have been deleted from the system on May 24, 2018, and needed
to be Re-registered.
Those who haven’t made the renewal for the purpose of visit KEK/J-PARK for FY2018 shall renew
before renewing the use of wireless LAN.
Only Users who have made the annual update in the registration for use of the wireless LAN FY2018
will be able to use the internet, subsequently.
[How to make the annual renewal of wireless LAN]
1.Re-register the use of wireless LAN
When you need to Re-register, proceed in the following from your Portal Site:

1. Administration relating to your visit 1. Click [Next] in the middle of the page to find a list
of forms
2. Click [Application for Wireless LAN access (Tsukuba Campus) ]
3. Fill in the Form which will be shown up on the screen
4. Click the Submit button at the bottom of the form
2.Regarding changing the connection key
In order to improve the security and reliability of KEK network, we will change the connection key
occasionally.
We'll inform you about it on [General Announcements] before changing it. Please make sure to
check it from your User Portal.
