Technical staff members of the Accelerator Laboratory received the KEK Director’s Special Award
The KEK Makaizou Club was awarded the Director’s Special Award for their outstanding victory in the Mini-4WD race “No Rules JCJC Athletics” held at Niconico Chokaigi 2025. The award was given not only for their victory, but also for their contribution to raising recognition of KEK’s high level of technical expertise and enhancing KEK’s visibility.
From the Accelerator Laboratory, Associate Engineer Hayato Araki (Innovation Center for Applied Superconducting Accelerators, iCASA), who led the team as the captain, Associate Engineer Shunto Ogasawara (Division 3), who was involved in electronic control design, and Associate Engineer Sora Arai (iCASA), who contributed to machine adjustments as an experienced Mini-4WD race, attended the award ceremony. They were recognized for their contributions through their daily work on development of accelerator control and RF cavity.
