A new logo for the Institute of Particle and Nuclear Studies.

2021/08/11

A new logo for the Institute of Particle and Nuclear Studies has been created. The logo shows “IPNS”, the Institute’s abbreviation. The ellipse with an “i” dot represents both an electron in an atom and a particle accelerator or collider, while the “P” and “N” are woven together, as are the fields of particle and nuclear physics. The two blue colors are inspired by the KEK logo, showing that IPNS is a part of KEK.
