On February 24th, members of the Funding Agencies for Large Colliders (FALC) visited KEK and stopped by at the state-of-the-art Belle II detector now being constructed inside Tsukuba Hall.

Prof. Tom Browder of the University of Hawaii and the spokesperson of the Belle II experiment, Prof. Yoshihide Sakai and Prof. Yutaka Ushiroda of IPNS/KEK, led a tour around the Belle II detector and gave an overview of the current status of the experiment while showing the detectors, including the particle identification system, the tracker, and the vertex detectors in the midst of their construction.

FALC, established in 2003, is an informal venue for funding agencies around the world to share information on future particle collider accelerator projects and the associated research in particle physics.
