I am an astrophysicist who primarily studies high-energy phenomena in the Universe. I am also working on deplopments of cryogenic detectors for high energy resolution spectroscopic observations of high energy phenomena, such as supermassive black holes and galaxy clusters.

Research Content

The goal of my scientific research is to understand the evolutionary process of the material structure of the Universe. To achieve this objective, a cryogenic detector that provides both a large field of view and high resolution spectroscopic capability is required. X-ray microcalorimeters are expected to be one of the detectors that satisfy this requirement. I am promoting an astronomical satellite project with an X-ray microcalorimeter and ground-based experiments using cryogenic detectors.
