The event brought together 14 research institutes at Tsukuba at the Tsukuba Centre Square, where booths, workshops, and talk sessions were held to introduce the advanced technologies and research findings of each institute to the community.

QUP, together with other WPI research centers in Tsukuba, the International Center for Materials Nanoarchitectonics (WPI-MANA) and the International Institute for Integrative Sleep Science (WPI-IIIS), took part in the talk sessions. During QUP’s segment, Dr. Kaoru Ogane, QUP Public Relations Officer, gave an overview of the concept and research at QUP. This was followed by a comprehensive lecture by Dr. Kosuke Itabashi where he presented his research on radiation-hard semiconductors, CIGS.

The talk session was also broadcast live on Nico Nico Science and was a great success with 7,107 viewers.
