WPI-QUP will host "IWSSD 2026"
IWSSD 2026 (The International Workshop on Superconducting Sensors and Detectors, 2026) will be held from November 27 (Fri) to 29 (Sun), 2026, at the Tsukuba Campus of the High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK), hosted by the International Center for Quantum-field Measurement Systems for Studies of the Universe and Particles (WPI-QUP).
IWSSD is an international workshop that brings together researchers, engineers, and students working across a broad range of fields related to superconducting sensors and detectors, from fundamental science and technological development to practical applications. Following a hiatus since the workshop originally planned for 2020, IWSSD 2026 brings together the international community to share recent advances, emerging technologies, and future perspectives in the field.
The workshop welcomes contributions on innovative research exploring new possibilities in superconducting technologies, as well as application-oriented research that bridges disciplines. Through IWSSD 2026, we aim to foster exchange and collaboration among researchers from universities, research institutions, and industry, and to promote further advances in superconducting sensors and detectors.
We warmly welcome researchers, engineers, and students from Japan and around the world to participate.
