Guided by the motto ”From vision to reality”, I have dedicated my career to the development of cutting-edge laser systems and their application to fundamental physics.
Research Content
At QUP, I am committed to spearheading the development of a next-generation Lyman-α light source dedicated to the trapping and cooling of hydrogen and antihydrogen. The essence of this work is the establishment of groundbreaking laser technologies for the manipulation of ultra-cold atoms, a critical step toward realizing the atom interferometer with Makoto Fujiwara. Importantly, this light source development is planed to transcend a single project. The technological advancements achieved at QUP will directly catalyze the sophistication of laser sources for the Muon g-2/EDM experiment and the Transmission Muon Microscope, fostering a robust synergy between research fields.By synthesizing these efforts, I seek to advance laser-based quantum science research. My overarching goal is to explore the universe’s fundamental symmetries and open new horizons in physics through unprecedentedly precise measurements of muons, hydrogen, and antihydrogen.
