I am working on astroparticle physics in the Kamioka lab through the search for extremely rare events.

Research Content

Through the KamLAND/KamLAND-Zen experiments, I have been pursuing research on astrophysical neutrinos and neutrinoless double-beta decay to reveal the asymmetry of matter-antimatter (matter-dominant universe) in the universe. Both studies involve the detection of extremely rare reactions.

To accomplish this objective, various low-radioactivity techniques have been developed. Additionally, I have been working on the development of KID/TES detectors and conducting test experiments using them for next-generation experiments at the Kamioka lab.

Under the collaboration of QUP and RCNS Tohoku University, we would like to develop a low-radioactivity dilution refrigerator at the Kamioka lab and to carry out a wide range of searches for extremely rare events, primarily focusing on the light dark matter.
