Poland has established the Copernican Academy on the occasion of the 550th anniversary of Copernicus' birth. The QUP Director, Dr. Masashi Hazumi, along with Nobel Laureates in Physics Dr. Art MacDonald (2016) and Dr. Didier Queloz (2019), was appointed as one of the 10 members of the Academy’s Chamber of Astronomy and Mathematical and Natural Sciences.

Masashi expressed his gratitude with the following words.
“I am honored to be a member of the new academy. In the past, I collaborated with Polish researchers at the KEK B factory with great joy. I hope the academy will open up a new chapter of our collaboration for LiteBIRD and research at QUP.”
