To KEK users: Update on the fire in the accelerator structure assembly room at the electron-positron injector linac building

Dear KEK Users,

The electron-positron injector linac has been brought back on line, with great support and assistance from many people in and outside KEK.

From Monday, April 22nd, the power supplies were carefully turned on one-by-one, with the high-power RF power becoming deliverable by the evening of the 23rd. Tuning of the beam from the end of the linac through the Beam Transport line has been completed, and injection to the SuperKEKB main rings has recommenced as of today, Thursday April 25th.
