Establishment of fundamental science for the creation of high performance electronic materials free of rare and toxic elements (Elements Strategy Initiative for Electronic Materials)

We will evaluate the structure and properties of electronic materials, which are being developed by the materials fabrication group led by Hideo Hosono at Tokyo Institute of Technology, in close cooperation with the analysis and evaluation group at the Institute, using synchrotron radiation, neutrons, and muons to elucidate the microscopic mechanism of the development of functions, and pave the way for further performance improvements.
