IMSS Quantum Beam Research Encouragement Travel Support Program/Travel Support Scheme

Dear Photon Factory Users,

From FY2026, following the revision of KEK-wide travel regulations, the travel support scheme for user experiments has been newly updated. The previous system, under which travel expenses were provided to one person per beamtime, has been discontinued, and a new scheme based on revised eligibility criteria has been introduced.

Under this program, travel expenses are provided, subject to eligibility conditions, for experiments conducted at the IMSS quantum beam facilities (PF/PF-AR, SPF, KENS@MLF, and MSL@MLF), with the aim of supporting the development of early-career researchers and ensuring the continuity of research activities.
