KEK研究会「素粒子・原子核コライダー物理の交点」
コライダー実験は素粒子物理領域では既に長い歴史を持ち、現在もLHCやSuperKEKBなどが強力に推進されています。原子核物理領域においても、RHICおよびLHCでの重イオン衝突の物理やRHICでの核子構造の物理が行われ、さらに米国でEIC（Electron-Ion Collier）計画が立ち上がりつつあります。ここでは偏極e+p衝突やe+A衝突が行われ、HERAを引き継ぐ物理も行われます。EICは今後10年程度で実現する新たなコライダーとしては唯一のものとなる可能性もあり、素粒子物理と原子核物理が加速器物理業界として協力して推進することを目指しています。この研究会では、そのような目的でコライダー実験に対する素粒子物理と原子核物理の交点を理論、実験、加速器の観点から探りたいと考えます。
