  When you enter the buildings of KEK on weekdays between 8:00p.m. and 8:00a.m. or weekend/
  national holidays you need to apply to get permission (ID card) from the Users Office.
  This permission (ID card) does not allow you to enter the restricted areas due to radiation or for
  other reasons.

  There are two kinds of ID card, one is short term and other one is long term.

   ID card for work in a radiation-controlled area

  If you wish to work in a radiation-controlled area, you must register as a radiation worker in advance.

  Cards issued by the Radiation Science Centre allow entry to buildings in the Radiation Controlled Area
  and General Area.
  Cards lent by the Radiation Science Centre must be returned to the Radiation Science Centre.
   ID card for the general common area

 How to apply at the Users Office;

 Type of card         Short term ID
      (Within one month)
     Long term ID
    (Over one month)
 Explanation  - Apply it at the Users Office.
 - Valid for one month, not renewable.
 - Is allowed for use by Visiting Researcher.
 - For outside vendors, we will give you one
  after confirming necessary items with a
  KEK host staff.
 - Submit an application form for
  a long term ID to your KEK
  host staff.
 How to keep it  Do not keep this ID cards with credit card or other magnetic cards to avoid
 magnetic strip malfunction.
 Return  - Return it to the Users Office at the end of
  the period of use.
 - After obtaining an ID card for Radiation
  Science Center, Please return the ID card
  which you have received from the Users
  Office
 - You can borrow it until March
  31th.
  You need to apply every year.
 - Please return it whenever the
  ID card is unnecessary.
 When the Users Office is closed, you can return it to the dormitory or the return
 box near the Users Office.(Mappdf)
