2026年1月28日から30日まで、KEKつくばキャンパスにてThe 9th Japan-Taiwan Joint Meeting on Neutron and X-ray Scatteringを開催いたします。
本会議はこれまで日本と台湾で交互に開催され、バイオマテリアル、ソフトマテリアル、ナノマテリアルの放射光X線および中性子散乱研究についてお互いの研究成果について情報交換を行ってきました。さらに、台湾・新竹の放射光X線施設、そして日本の中性子散乱・放射光施設を拠点とした台湾と日本の共同研究についても議論してきました。これらの活動により(1)若手研究者の参加、(2)台湾と日本の研究協力を促進し、中性子および放射光X線散乱を通じたバイオマテリアル、ソフトマテリアル、ナノマテリアルにおける新たな科学的発展、日台間の協力関係の強化につながることを目指しています。
当初、第9回目の会議は2020年に九州大学で開催される予定でしたが、パンデミックの影響で延期されました。今回は、5年以上の中断を経て開催される記念すべき会となります。この会議が、旧交を温め、新たな共同研究の取り組みを育む機会となることを願っています。
