運転免許証・医療保険　Driver's License・Medical Insurance

　在留カードの保持者(かつ日本で雇用されていないか、自営)は「国民健康保険」に加入する必要があります。
　＊KEKの従業員とその家族の場合はKEKが提供する保険（社会保険）に加入となります。
　「国民健康保険」への加入は法定の義務であり、個人の都合で脱退することはできません。

　ただし、次の方は「国民健康保険」への加入は不要です。

1. KEKの職員とその家族。　（前述＊の通り）
2. 日本と社会保障協定を締結している国で健康保険に加入している人。
• 2021年2月現在の対象国：アメリカ、ベルギー、フランス、オランダ、チェコ、スイス、
  　　　　　　　　　　　　ハンガリー、ルクセンブルク
• 不要になる条件はケースバイケースなので、転入してきた時につくば市役所で確認して下さい。
  （KEKの職員になる時や、帰国するときは脱退になります）

　世帯主は保険料を支払わねばなりません。それにより加入者は全員病気やけがの時に医療給付が受けられます。
　保険証を持っていれば、実際の医療費の３０％の負担で済みます。　

　滞在が3カ月未満の場合は、必ず任意の健康保険を付保してください。

　If you are a Residence Card holder, non-employed or self-employed in Japan you must enroll in
　the National Health Insurance (NHI).
　 * For KEK employee and their family, they will be enrolling in the plan offered by KEK
　　(the Employee's Health Insurance ).
　Joining the NHI is mandatory and you may not opt out for personal reasons unless become employed
　or leaving Japan.

　That said, the following persons may not enroll in the NHI.

1. KEK employee and their family. (as written above*) )
2. Those who enrolled in the Health Insurance in the countries that tie "International Social Security Agreement"
• The countries as of February, 2021 are Belgium, Czech, France, Hungary, Luxembourg, Netherlands,Switzerland, and the United States.
• The condition for this exception depends. So please confirm at the Tsukuba City Hall when you move in.

　The head of the every household is required to pay insurance premiums (insurance taxes)
　to the program.
　In exchange, every person who is enrolled in the NHI is eligible to receive medical benefits through
　the program　should they get sick or injured.
　The holders of the Certificate should bear only 30% of the actual cost of the medical care.

　If your are staying less than 3 months, please be sure to buy optional health insurance.
