There are two nurserys (temporarily accepted childcare center) neare KEK. However, We recommend Sakura Gakuen Nursery, if you are thinking sort-term(1-2 mounth) childcare. Tel: 029-863-0053 Open : Mon.-Fri. 8:30a.m. - 4:30p.m. Per-use : principal is 3-times a week. ・2,800yen/ one day(included lunch and snack) ・1,400yen/half day(included snack) Procedure : 1. Call and tell them the child’s name and age. 2. They will tell you the date of your visit / interview 3. You have an interview with staff and fill out the application. Please tell them if your child has any allergies. Documents required 4. A copy of the insurance card. Access : Take the Kanto-tetsudo bus(NOT Tsuku-bus) from KEK to Kyushoku Center which nearest bus stop. About 520m from Bus stop. There is the map (PDF) and the Bus timetable(PDF) between KEK and Kyushoku Center. There are not many buses bound for KEK, please see the timetable in advance. Flower Child Nursery :https://www.flower-child.jp/nyuenannai/index.html (from 1-year old to 5-year old, Capacity: 12-15child/day) Your child needs some days to get used to the new environment smoothly. So as a rule, the nursery looks after the child for only two hours on the first and second day and gradually increase the time frame by judging each child's situation. Therefore, children will need a total of two days to complete their training with a guardian. Documents required : 1. Application :Submit at the time of visit 2. Pick-up registration(person who takes the child there) Submit at the time of visit 3. Infant Physical examination form :Submit at the time of visit 4. A copy of the insurance card 5. A copy of the mother and child’s health handbook 6. Parents Certificate of Employment (KEK) Best time for visits and interviews are around 10:00a.m. Fee : registration Fee --- 400 yen. 6 hours a day- 4 times/one month---7,200 yen 6 hours a day- 8 times/one month---14,400 yen While it is not known if the child will be accepted at the Childcare Center, it is a good idea to photos for the application. ・A face-photo of child.(length 5cm, width 3.5cm) ・A face-photo of person who will take the child to Flower Child Nursery for pick-up registration. Children who applied for a “Moving-in Notification” to Tsukuba can enroll in the kindergarten, elementary, and junior high schools in Tsukuba. If you would like to enter your child to public kindergarten, the location of the school is specified and it is based on your residential address.
