Masafumi Taira received Distinguished Service Award

Masafumi Taira, Senior Engineer of Radiation Science Center received the Distinguished Service Award from the Academic Consociation of Environmental Safety and Waste Management, Japan.
He was recognized for his contributions to the consociation over the years.
The objective of the consociation is to exchange information and improve the quality of members who are engaged in environmental conservation facilities, safety and health management for students and faculty members, management of chemical substances, treatment of hazardous waste, and environmental safety education at universities, technical colleges, inter-university research institutions, and institutions under the jurisdiction of MEXT.
He has been involved in the consociation since 1985, serving eight years as a director and six years as an auditor.
