“SCIENCE ＆ TECHNOLOGY PRE EVENT 2024” was held.

Prior to “the Science and Technology week” that started on Apr. 15, 2024, “SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY PRE EVENT 2024” was held at Tsukuba Center on Apr. 14, 2024, organized by Tsukuba Machinaka Design inc.

KEK exhibited a booth at the Tsukuba center plaza and participated in a talk session held at the Tsukuba center building co-en.

At the booth exhibit, the Mechanical Engineering Center conducted a experiment which a bolt and vane were dropped in a vacuum in addition to explaining the accelerator.

The talk session featured a relay of talks by many of research and academic institutions in Tsukuba city. Prof. Hiraki (head of the Mechanical Engineering Center, KEK) was the top presenter.
