KEK exhibited at “Niconico Chokaigi 2024”

KEK exhibited at annual festival “Niconico Chokaigi 2024” held at Makuhari Messe on April 27-28, and introduced our research activities by live broadcasts, hands-on corners, and various projects. The mechanical engineering center (MEC) held “vacuum super-experiment” in two days. Most of participants were surprised to actually see a metal bolt and a feather fall simultaneously. The 3D-printed Belle II detector, which was on display at the KEK Spring Campus Open House, was also on display. On April 28, the Applied Research Laboratory and the MEC were explained in “Super explanation (2) of Cho-KEK”. In addition, more than 100 people participated in the “Super-Threading experience”, which they made screws using taps on acrylics.
