The 20th KEK Mechanical Engineering Workshop

On June 7, 2019, the 20th KEK Mechanical Engineering Workshop was held, hosted by the Mechanical Engineering Center (MEC) of Applied Research Laboratory.

There were 81 registered participants, mainly from companies and universities. In the morning session, the project members supported by MEC reported on the progress of their research. In the afternoon session, an organized session "Current Status and Issues of the International Linear Collider (ILC)" was held, in which a wide range of topics were discussed, from ILC physics to the progress of superconducting cavities and tunnel excavation. In the poster presentations, the latest research results were reported from universities and companies, and active discussions were held from the viewpoints of mechanical engineering, including design, analysis, processing, materials, and measurement.
