The 36th Workshop "Radiation Detectors and Their Uses" was held

The 36th Workshop "Radiation Detectors and Their Uses" was held from January 24 to 26, 2022, co-sponsored by the Radiation Science Center and the Japan Society of Applied Physics Ionization Radiation Division.

Continuing from the last time, it was held as an online meeting using Zoom, and more than 100 people from domestic universities, research institutes, companies, etc. participated. There were 33 oral presentations, including 2 invited lectures, on a wide range of themes related to radiation measurement technology and detector development. The poster session was held using a communication tool called “Gather.town”. Despite being online, the experience that was close to the actual poster session was well received, and lively discussions took place. Mr. Junichiro Nishikawa of Kyoto University, Mr. Akito Watanabe and Mr. Hiroki Kawamoto of Tohoku University were selected as excellent poster presentations, and were awarded the Research Society Encouragement Award.
