つくば市内には複数のレンタカー会社があります。利用には通常、事前予約が必要となります。また、日本で運転可能な運転免許証（詳しくは、「運転免許証」参照）をあらかじめ準備しましょう。

There are some rental car companies in Tsukuba. Reservations are highly recommended, if not necessary, to rent a car at any company. Also, make sure you have a valid driver’s license. (For mre information on the validity of your driver’s license, see the section “Driver’s License in Japan”.)
