This section promotes the research and development of the beamline transport channels that guide synchrotron radiation to experimental stations. Currently, with a view to the future plan of the facility, experiments and research using simultaneous multiple quantum beams are being proposed at the PF, and demonstration experiments are underway. The beamline technologies required to carry out such advanced experiments and research encompass a wide range of fields, including, for example, VUV and soft/hard X-ray optics, beamline vacuum, beamline control, detectors, and infrastructures. It is necessary not only to develop and enhance each of these technological elements but also to ensure they function collaboratively. On the other hand, standardization of the cutting-edge experimental and measurement technologies is also essential for the advancement of SR science field.

The candidate is expected to have an outstanding experience in developing beamline optics and to promote the development, upgrade and standardization of instrumentations common to PF beamlines, in cooperation with the light-source-accelerator (KEK ACCL 6th) division staffs, as well as beamline scientists and engineers. The candidate is also expected to pioneer and promote new SR science research by proposing and executing experiments and research using simultaneous multiple quantum beams, as well as to contribute to promote human resources development for the future in the SR science field through these activities.
