IMSS20-2-E

The Center for Integrative Quantum Beam Science (CIQuS) promotes following eleven research programs:

  • 1. Quantum beam analysis with informatics : Characterization as a service
  • 2. Multi-probe surface/interface observation for spintronics materials aiming at novel ICT devices
  • 3. Atomic arrangements and electronic structures of two-dimensional atomic layered materials
  • 4. Cross-Correlated Physics
  • 5. Element Strategy Initiative to Form Core Research Center for Electron Materials
  • 6. What lets atoms active or dull in catalysts?
  • 7. Prediction of trigger sites in fracture of structural materials
  • 8. Visualization of electron and ion conduction path in secondary batteries
  • 9. Visualization of dynamic functionality in ultrafast photoresponsive materials
  • 10. Approach to past histories of the earth, planets, environmental materials, natural resources science
  • 11. QBFS, Quantum Beam Food Science

The successful candidates will be actively involved in one of the research programs, and will promote advanced materials science research using various quantum beams, as well as development of quantum beam application techniques required for the research, in collaboration with staffs in IMSS. We expect they will acquire skills to effectively apply various quantum beams, and become researchers who play core role in the field of integrative quantum beam science.

The applicant can apply to the IMSS20-3 as well.
