IMSS19-6-E

The Institute of Materials Structure Science (IMSS) restructured its organization to strengthen both research and facility functions on April 1st, 2019. The candidate (tenure-track assistant professor) will belong to the Photon Factory (PF). He/she is expected to be a member of the end station engineering section and engaged mainly in development, maintenance, operation, and promoting the activity of the high-pressure beamlines (BL-18C, AR-NE1A, AR-NE5C, AR-NE7A).
The end station engineering section seeks an outstanding researcher who plays an important role in future SR science as a beam line researcher. He/she will join the section as a tenure-track assistant professor. The beam line researcher promotes the beam line science in terms of instrumentation, in addition to providing routine services as a beam line staff. Once he/she joins the section, he/she is expected to master techniques not only useful to the specific beam lines of PF but commonly useful to beam lines of SR facilities. We encourage the application from motivated researchers who are interested in contributing to SR science from an expanded perspective (i.e., not limited to high-pressure science in this case).
